This is an old fashioned recipe that uses food that would have been grown on this farm 200 years ago. The foods originated from Native Americans, Africans, and Europeans.
Ingredients
1 acorn squash
1/2 cup cooked wild rice
1 onion
1 Apple
Spice mix: clove, cinnamon, ginger, salt, pepper
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400
Cook 1/2 cup wild rice
Cut acorn squash in half and remove seeds
Chop onion and apple into bite sized pieces
Combine wild rice, apple, onion, and spices
Fill acorn squash with mixture
Roast the squash in oven for 40 minutes or until it’s done
